On March 27-28, the conference "Results of Expeditionary research in 2024 in the World Ocean, inland waters, the Svalbard Archipelago and the Kamchatka Peninsula" was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Representatives of MMBI RAS participate in its work annually. This year, the plenary session "Best Practices of Interaction and Achieving Practical Results: Applied Significance and Commercial Potential of Marine Expedition Research Results" was opened by the MMBI Principal Researcher, Professor Pavel Makarevich. He delivered a report on "The Influence of Climate-Oceanological Factors on Interannual and Seasonal Variability of the Biota of the Arctic Seas: Results of Expeditionary Research by MMBI RAS on the R/V 'Dalnie Zelenetsy'". At the "Complex and Interdisciplinary Research" session, a report on "Results of Complex Ecosystem Studies by MMBI RAS in the Svalbard Archipelago Area in 2001–2024" was presented by the Deputy Director for Science Denis Moiseev.
