On March 12, Murmansk Marine Biological Institute held the Young Scientists Conference "Studies on Ecosystems of Arctic Seas" for the 43d time. This year it is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the MBS-MMBI. The participants' reports address issues of species diversity and productivity in biological systems, marine geology, and the dynamics and evolution of populations, communities, and ecosystems under conditions of global climate change and anthropogenic pressure. The main results of studies on the impact of industry, and radioactive and chemical pollution on the marine and coastal ecosystems of the high latitudes are also presented.
In the traditional scientific report competition, first place was taken by Oleg Bondarev with his report "Seasonal dynamics of fish species composition in the littoral-sublittoral zone of the Kola Bay in 2023-2024". We warmly congratulate him on this achievement and wish him further victories!
