On April 4, a ceremonial award ceremony for the winners of the regional "Book of the Year" contest was held in Murmansk. The "Book of the Year" contest is organized by the Murmansk Regional Scientific Library with the support of the regional Ministry of Culture and is aimed at supporting publishing activities and popularizing the best works by authors from the Murman region. Over one hundred publications competed for victory in the contest.
In the special nomination "Arctic Horizons" first place was awarded to the three-volume encyclopedia of the Russian Arctic seas "From Barents Sea to Bering Sea". The book's author is an oceanographer, Ph.D. (Geography) Nikolai Mikhailovich Adrov, who worked for many years at the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute. MMBI Deputy Director for Science Denis Moiseev congratulated Nikolai Mikhailovich on his victory in the contest, presented him the award, and also commemorative gifts from MMBI RAS in honor of the Institute's 90th anniversary.
