SCIENTIST OF THE LABORATORY OF OCEANOGRAPHY AND RADIOECOCHOLOGY IVAN ZAPOROZHTSEV TOOK PART IN THE 19TH WORLD FESTIVAL OF YOUTH AND STUDENTS IN SOCHI (15-21 OCTOBER 2017).

The festival brought together about 25,000 participants from 188 countries and 5,000 Russian volunteers and UNO volunteers (delegation of the Murmansk region consisted of 45 participants and 37 volunteers). The motto of the festival: "For peace, solidarity and social justice, we are fighting against imperialism - respecting our past, we are building the future!" Organizers of the festival managed to create an unforgettable atmosphere of youth unity of different countries, understanding of common goals and means of achieving them, communication for peace and preservation of our planet for future generations. Participants were offered a large number of educational, scientific, sports and cultural events - mandatory for visits in accordance with thematic sites on which participants were recorded in advance, and variational ones. Projects of transport systems, technologies for blocking devices, quantum computers, strategies for societal interaction between authorities and citizens, which will be widely used in the future, were presented at "Technology of the Future" site.

The brightest and most memorable speakers were Sergei Lavrov, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, German Gref, Arkady Dvorkovich, Frederik Bekbeder, Nick Vuychich, Andrey Dementyev. The opening ceremony and the show "Russia" on closing day were visited by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. Governor Marina Kovtun communicated with the delegation of the region at the festival.

International delegations also participated in regional programs, visiting various cities of Russia (15 subjects of the federation).
