SUMMER SNOW IN MURMANSK: HEIGHTEN INTEREST TO CLIMATE PROBLEMS

Cold spring and beginning of Murmansk summer after many "warm" years became an unpleasant reality for Kola Arctic inhabitants. Snow in June on the Kola Peninsula is a very common phenomenon and would not attract so much attention if it were not for temperature regime below climatic norm in May-June throughout the European territory of Russia. Possible reasons for such climate surprises were discussed by correspondent of the Russian newspaper Evgeniya Volkova and deputy director for science MMBI, Ph.D. Denis Moiseev.
